Elyssa is currently a sophomore at Butler University. She is from Birmingham, Alabama where she was named to the all-state team as a setter in 2005 and 2006...team captain in 2007...lettered four years...named to the all-tournament team in 2004 and 2005...Athlete of the Year by the Kiwanis Club in 2008...coached by Mandy Burgess...also lettered two seasons as a guard on the basketball team. As a freshman at Butler, Elyssa started in two of 18 matches...totaled 35 digs at a rate of 0.88 per contest...tallied a season-high 11 assists at UTEP (Aug. 29)...averaged 0.82 assists per set on the season...added a career-best 12 digs against Milwaukee (Nov. 22). She is planning to major in Digital Media Production with a minor in Business.
