Larry PerezIn 1994 Larry began coaching volleyball for the Quack Attack Volleyball Club in Bloomington, IL. In his five years coaching for Quack Attack, he took 3 teams to JO's finishing 5th and 3rd in the 16 and under club division and 10th in the 17 and under club division. During those three Junior Olympic tournaments, four athletes were selected to the All-American teams.

In 1998 Larry formed and directed the Illinois Juniors Volleyball Club. He served four years as director and six years as Head Coach for the club. During his six years with the club, 14 teams qualified for Nationals and 8 athletes were selected to the All-American teams. During his tenure at Illinois Juniors, over 40 athletes received Division 1 scholarships. In 2001 his 15 and under team finished 3rd in the club division and followed the season up with a 5th place finish in 2002 as 16s. In 2003, Larry’s 16-and under team became the only team from Central Illinois to ever qualify in the Open division two years in a row. His time in Bloomington also included a four year stint as Assistant Coach at Illinois Wesleyan. During those four years, IWU won the conference championship in 1997 and qualified for the NCAA tourney in 1997 and 1998.

In 2004, Larry received a job transfer to Chicago, IL. At this time, he began working and coaching for First Alliance VBC. In his first year with First Alliance, his 18 and under team won the Great lakes Regional Championship and qualified for the 18 and under National division. Larry led his team to a 5th place finish and one athlete was selected to the All-Tournament team. Last year Larry’s 18 and under team finished second at the Northeast Qualifier and finished 14th in the Open division. During the summer of 2005, He was selected as Head Coach for the Great Lakes High Performance team that finished 7th in the Youth Division at the National Championships.

Larry is a graduate of Illinois State University where he played on the men’s club volleyball team. He recently accepted a transfer to Indianapolis with State Farm Insurance and will be beginning his first season with Team Indiana.
