Mark BritnerMark is beginning his 35th year of coaching which includes 19 years at the college level and 22 at the club level.

While coaching at Franklin College he received just under 500 career wins; finished 5th in the nation twice in the NAIA with 2 other top 10 finishes.  Coached 2 All-Americans, 6 Academic All-Americans and 36 all-conference/district players.

In coaching club his teams qualified in the open division of USAV Jr. Olympics 15 times winning 1 silver and 2 bronze medals with 2 5th places and several more top 15 finishes; numerous national qualifier and Central zone tournament wins.

Mark has been a member of the USAV High Performance coaching staff; have coached at almost all levels including serving as an assistant for the women’s junior national team (finished 8th in the World Championship and included two future Olympians); head coach of the youth  A-2 (which included TI coach Sam Gray); head coach of numerous A-3/development camps; the past spring while on sabbatical from Franklin College I developed the camp manual for the high performance program working closely with the women’s national team and Coach Hugh McCutcheon.

Mark is a Professor of physical education at Franklin College. His wife, Estelle, is a teacher at St. Rose of Lima school in Franklin. They have 3 children, Joe, a junior. at U. of Indianapolis;  Maggie, freshman at Roncalli High School; Elizabeth, 7th grade at St. Rose.
