Katie has been an active player and coach in club volleyball since 1997. The South Holland, IL native grew up playing for Chicago Juniors Volleyball Club. She made her way to Indianapolis in 2000 by earning a Division I scholarship at IUPUI. After finishing her playing career Katie continued at IUPUI as the undergraduate Assistant Coach in 2005. Katie starting coaching club volleyball in 2004 and has been coaching at Team Indiana since 2005.

This past season Katie assisted Erica Lewis with the Team Indiana 13-1 TI-Grrs. In the past, Katie has coached teams earning a 1st place finish at the KIVA Youth Gala, a 3rd place and two 5th place finishes at AAU Nationals.

Katie had a successful playing career at IUPUI holding school records for block assists in a match and has tied the best mark for total blocks in a match. She is also among the school's all-time leaders for hitting percentage in a match and season, as well as blocks and blocking average for a season. Katie helped lead the Jaguars to the Mid-Continent Conference championship her first year at IUPUI. She served as a team captain her third and fifth years. Katie was named to the 2004 Mid-Con All-Tournament Team, selected for the IUPUI Academic Adviser's List at IUPUI five times and was chosen one of the Top 100 students at the school in 2004.

Katie graduated with a New Media degree from IUPUI and works as a Quality Assurance Analyst at Blackboard Learn. You can find Katie playing indoor or beach volleyball around Indianapolis when she is not coaching.
